My LIFE for the next 9 weeks....

SENIOR SEMINAR!!!  Here is what I have been staring at for the last 2 weeks, 14 hours a day!

7,000 Sq Ft. home with a 17,000 Sq. Ft. Addition on the back!  Sounds fun huh?!? Did I mention I have 9 weeks to complete the entire project!?

Here is the Original site plan.  The home is on a HUGE plot of land.  Their will be a large ropes course in the back corner.  The "little" part in the middle is the 7,000 Sq. Ft. existing home.

Here is the home with the addition... The front is the existing, and the 17,000 Sq. Ft. Conference center attached to the back.

Some exterior elevations of the existing home.

All of this is only Preliminary designs that I have been working on for the last 2 weeks!  I will keep you updated on this monstrosity!

This is what is getting me through :)
LOTS AND LOTS OF COFFEE!!!  This girl runs on Dunkin Turbo! :)

Send up some prayers for me :)

Happy Lady!

I know your wondering to yourself..."where's Court been?"- Ok, I KNOW that is not what you've been thinking...but what can I say...I've missed you!

This is what I have been up to....
My handsome fella came to visit me for a looong weekend :)  He came down Friday night and will be here until early Wednesday morning.  He officially finished at his old job Thursday and has the next week off before he starts his new job on Feb. 28th!  I couldn't be happier about his new job, but I wish he could stay foreva!

We have also been celebrating our 4 year Anniversary while he is here.  FOUR AMAZING Years together.  (Post on that to come!)

Love ya,
C

OCD: Organize, Create & Design (Part1)

This gal LOVES to ORGANIZE!
I decided I am going to start a series on how I organize various parts of my life.  My hope is that others will get some new ideas for themselves as well as share your own organizing tips and ideas.

Part 1- My T-SHIRT Drawer

This system has simplified my life and when my t-shirts couldn't fit otherwise, they fit beautifully now and are especially easy to take in and out.

The second great thing about it is no matter what size the t-shirt is, (folded correctly) they will all result in the same size.
The ones I am pointing at are Nick's gigantic shirts
and you can see that they appear no larger than mine...

Can you tell I am a college student?! haha, and I have multiple of the same shirt because my University often gives shirts out for free.  (My school is more like Disney Land than a University).

I would love to hear what you all think...& see how you organize your home! :)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

I know what your thinking....Did that girl seriously give us another lame I'm taking a photo of myself in a mirror picture?  It's the best I can do for now :/ ...In 4 months my amazing husband/assistant ;) will be taking the pictures.

Much love,

Bye Slump! I'm not going to miss you!

I'm going to blame this 3 year long slump I've been in, on college and a time consuming major. Did she say 3 years? Yah, your heard it right. I even have photographic proof! For the past 3 years I have been living in T-shirts, sweats, loose jeans and tennis shoes. YIKES! It has gotten to the point that I have lost any ounce of self-confidence. Not ok. I have been thinking about this as a problem in my life for awhile now, but didn't know exactly how to deal with it. I decided I am tired of not feeling good about myself, and find it ridiculous that I don't take the time to take care of myself. I began to seriously worry- if I don't take care of myself now, what's going to happen when I have children. I am just setting myself up to be a frumpy wife and mom! It is time to make the change!

1st step- examine my make-up bag...:/

Current inventory:
5-year old foundation- this could possibly be the reason my face as spontaneously been breaking out.
NO eyeshadow!?! This made me sad.
Blush- currently in tiny little pieces.=hazardous.

Are you feeling my pain yet?

Eyelash curler and mascara
Blake eyeliner
And some bronzer that is also 5 years old.
THAT'S ALL FOLKS!

After examining my make-up bag - I declared "operation get Court out of a frumpy slump!"

STEP 1: Order the boots I have been wanting for over 2 years. CHECK.

STEP 2: Order new foundation. CHECK.
STEP 3: Buy eyeshadow. CHECK.
STEP 4: Cut the hippie hair. CHECK.
STEP 5: Re-learn how to put on make-up
STEP 6: Hem all the pants that I never wear because they are too long (no more excusses not to wear "real" clothes.)
STEP 7: Limit the sweats and t-shirts for home and at most 3 days a week. (Baby steps people!)
STEP 8: Exercise.

I think that's a good start for now...
Steps 1, 2, & 4 already make me feel like a new person!

Now I just need to get used to wearing "real" clothes everyday. This one is particularly hard since I hate wearing clothes.

EVIDENCE! -Who doesn't like Pictures as evidence ;) I DO!

This is a perfect example for so many reasons: This picture was taken 3 Years ago (Seriously!)
See those pants and T-shirt..(ok, so you can't really see the T-shirt but it's there!) I practically wear those pants or identical ones EVERYDAY! No make-up and Hair in a pony tail. -Did I mention that this was taken 3 years ago...I have been wearing this get-up for the last 3-years.
This was ok for awhile or every now and again, but I took my comfort to the extreme.
If you were wondering to yourself (which I am sure you were) "What does Court look like everyday?" Your looking at it!!

Love,
The new and improved, Court

Steppin' Out Saturday

This Saturday my best friend and I went to paint pottery...yum, Hello-- SO FUN and RELAXING!  We stayed for over two hours perfecting our little master pieces.  Let me just say, I am using the term "master piece" loosely...It was our first time people!  I will consider posting pictures when I get it back :)

P.S I apologize for the bad picture- it was my assistant's day off ;)

BEAUTIFUL-NESS!!!

1 major bonus to my job is my access to luxurious and beautiful fabrics!  These are large fabric cuts sent to the company from the supplies that would otherwise be thrown out.  This girl wasn't about to let these babies find themselves in the landfill.

Disclaimer: a) Pictures don't do fabrics justice-ESPECIALLY, when they are taken by an amateur in not-so-good lighting.  Use your "fabric-esk" imagination.  :)
 b) Excuse the creases in the fabrics-too lazy to iron them

What do you think? :)

Coffee and Tea Paraphernalia

Check out my new sweet mugs!! -I LOVE how big they are!

OK Peeps- This is the last blog dedicated to my "everything coffee and tea" addiction because IF I don't declare this the last I'm going to have to change my blog name to...("Drinking my way through life")- Yah Court, let's not do that!

Aren't they great though :)
